Experience Liuwa

While Liuwa Plain National Park is in Zambia’s remote west, visitors who stay in Kalabo or other nearby towns can explore some of the park during the day. Book in at Liuwa Reception, 12 km from Kalabo.

You can also book a Day Drive, which begins and ends in Kalabo town. This is an informative and fascinating day’s game drive through the southern areas of the park, led by a qualified, knowledgeable guide.

Liuwa is open from sunrise to sunset daily. Enter via Kalabo, stop in at Reception, then set off to explore the 3,660km park. 4×4 vehicles with high clearance are required.
